Hello fellow citizens of Ellis County, and welcome to the website of the Ellis County Tea Party.
We are a group affiliated with the Dallas Tea Party Movement, and we are seeking like minded people of all political affiliations.

As American Patriots who believe in the values and principles set forth by our founding fathers in the Bill of Rights, the United States Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence, we stand to restore the Republic back to what it was intended to be.

If you believe in the following principles, then you are in the right place to take action and bring real change.

1. Limited Government - As our founding fathers recognized, restraint of government is necessary to protect the liberties of the people.
2. Fiscal Responsibility - Government at all levels must learn to live within its means. To saddle future generations with the crushing burden of our excess spending is unconscionable.
3. Personal Responsibility - Liberty is unsustainable without responsibility. Each citizen must take responsibility for the consequences of his or her own actions while respecting the rights and dignity of others.
4. Rule of the Law - Consistent, independent and uniform application of the law in critical to a free and prosperous society.
5. National Sovereignty - We must maintain a strong national defense, effective security for our borders, and soul control over our laws and land.

1. Personal Attacks - We are debating positions and policies, not demonizing people or groups.
2. Unfounded Rumors - The easily verifiable facts are enough. Don't weaken our position by stretching the truth.

American Citizens have been in danger over the last several years of losing their civil liberties due to a Federal Government that has become out of control. Fortune favors the bold, the time to be bold and stand up for what is right and true is at hand. Benjamin Franklin was asked by a woman as he left the constitutional convention: "Sir, what have you given us?"

"A republic Madam, if you can keep it," re replied. Let us not lose our grand republic. Let us keep it. Join with us, and stand for what is right and true.
