2012 is here!
Boots on, raise the flag, time to march! 2010 slowed the ship down, 2012 is the year to turn it around! Primary elections are coming up fast, have you made a choice? Are you backing any candidates? To see real change we need to get the right people into office. Many good people are running, but they need our help. Think of ways you can chip in. They need money, volunteers, advertising, word of mouth. Many of YOUR friends aren't paying attention, and need direction. Talk to them, tell them about what is going on, make sure they are registered and that they do vote! Facebook is a great place to start. Think about yard signs to sway your neighbors. Walk the neighborhood with or for the candidate of your choice.
Our February meeting will revolve around a candidates forum for those seeking a county office. We plan to hear from those running for Sheriff, Justice of the Peace, County Commissioner, and Constable. If you have questions for these candidates, please bring them in written form for our moderator to choose from. If the forums we have had in the past are any indicator, this should prove to be a very informative and crowded meeting. Keep an eye on this page for the meeting place, we are checking for someplace larger.
